Len's wish was for his final resting place to be with his parents at Loughborough crematorium. We gathered together on a fine August afternoon to find the grave yet to be prepared but the oversight was respectfully attended to and we waited with a sense of gentleness and peace surrounding us.

There was a reason for the delay: as we quietly placed bunches of roses and rosemary in with the casket, a train on the Great Central Railway went by in the distance, tooting his whistle. No better way for you travel to your next destination Len, than on a train.

After Thomas read Abide with Me and a final prayer we fulfilled another of his wishes and went home of tea and cake with some of his friends.
